I had to replace the in tank fuel delivery hose(pump to outlet)  again on my rusty Builder's van  Omega,
It split in exactly the same place  ???
SAEj30r6 fuel hose
I searched for new GM "branded" shaped fuel lines etc from the Vauxhall part numbers etc ,o joy .

I've ordered a Protec Fuel Systems Convoluted In Tank Fuel Hose - 8/9mm Ends / 280mm Long, From Demon Tweeks

Turns out I may have done the local drivers a disservice as apparently someone decided it would be good fun to go round kicking the door mirrors of various cars in surrounding streets,unfortunately this person had a slight "accident" when the owner of one of the cars saw and caught him.
I had the same issue a few years ago  :( got through many replacement wing mirrors £££  >:(

It's usually kids who've had half a shandy on a friday/saturday night  ::)

Police resources are even more overstretched now and if they are caught the CPS and court system do **** all  :-X

"Kids today ..... NO respect.....  "

blimey , I've turned into a grumpy old git   :P    :D
If they weren't so busy facilitating woke bullshit, they might have a bit more time to do actual policing :-X

Took it to the Lake District a week ago. And brought it back again today.  It's rolled over 140k now.

Should have gone for R9 spec hose dtb to cope with this new fangled E10 fuel-unless of course you run the "new" super duper E5 fuel.

I do use E5 super 98, Sainsburys finest  :P
(because it's local to me )
the section of hose that blew/split was only in a few weeks if that  ???
though i didn't check if that spec of fuel line was rated to be immersed in petrol  :-[
the new pipe IS , so I'll see how that pans out .

it's a pain having to empty all the bodies out the boot to fit new pipe every few weeks  :D

I think Ive finally got Pierre le Plastique sorted. One injector wasnt doing much injecting, so before forking out for a replacement, decided I had nothing to lose so took it apart and gave everything a good clean with carb cleaner. Paid particular attention to the tiny little holes in the nozzle, which were mostly completely blocked.
Carefully reassembled it and fitted it to the engine. Fired it up and took it for a short drive and it drove perfectly.
I do love that little car.  :D ;D  ::)

Just been thinking. Its been quite a while since I did anything more than check fluids and tyre pressures on the Omega.
They dont tend to like being ignored for too long, so a mini service and breather clean is probably due.
Will also fit the ARB polybushes kindly donated by Bandit this week, while I have it on the drive, and the spanners out.  :)
Also have several bits of plastic to reattach to Pierre, that  have been sat behind the bins since I changed the turbo / cambelt / alternator belt.
Get that lot done I can then think about tackling the to do list on the Boxster.  :)

That reminds me, I must dig out the laptop to reset the BBP's service indicator.  Due to the way SDD - JLR's tool of that era - works, it is a bit of a faff that takes the best part of 15 mins, by which time it declares the battery isn't charged enough ;D

As to washing, I purposely don't do that too often, as that annoys the jag forum mob ;D

Isn't that a main dealer requirement?  :D

The original panel speed sensor began to leak and was replaced after 28 years of use. I bought a new one and after 9 months it leaked transmission oil. I bought the third sensor, which also leaked oil in 3 months! Talking to a friend, president of the Clube do Omega MG and specialist in the exchange of analog panels by installing digital panels in the Omegas of our club members, I was informed that the cause of these leaks is the small rubber ring in the photo below. Problem solved.  :y

Its the one thing a Jaguar owner is allowed to do himself.  I suspect even filling up with fuel is a dealer job ;D
