A whole year without a set of tyres ? !  :o ;D
Well, not quite, as that was late last year we changed which app we was using.  And I don't think the rears will see it through until the winter ;D

I started doing it to see how much I was saving when I LPG'd my Omegas.  However, now I use it to berate my boss about the fact the tight bastards only give me 28ppm :(

Got the Zaf an MOT, for only the cost of 2 tyres (which I knew it wanted before it went in there).

Found a replacement for the appliance.
What did you settle on, Jim?

Whatever it is let us hope it runs on petrol, as designed by God. :)

Spent all afternoon waiting for a dealer to call me back with a price. Obviously I was disappointed.

Driven it back from Yorkshire towing the tin tent, never missed a beat and got 23MPG needs a good clean now.
I don't get significantly more without a burger van on the back, so can't grumble at that :y

That said, I don't drive at a constant 50mph either ;D
.

On cruise at 60mph maximum legal limit the ACC does the rest ! I pay more than enough vehicle tax without adding speeding fine & careless driving to the greedy bastards coffers, nice relaxing drive with no dramas in ultimate comfort, I'm retired so got all the time in the world..😅

Just now I'm using the OH's 428i, so yes, green pump for the moment.

The addition to the fleet which will replace the Zafira and another car is a Discovery 5, the spit of this one, although not this one, if you see what I mean ...

The 428i will go in a month or two, what it will be replaced with is up for discussion still. If I get decent enough mpg from the Disco, it will be my commuter and the OH will have something she wants -rag top mini cooper is favoured at present. If (as I suspect) the mpg won't be great, I'll have something to commute in and she gets the big green bus ;D

So basically I lied, it's not a replacement at all, more a shuffling of the fleet.  :D

The £10,000 worth of options on that disco you linked to is more than I would pay for a car  :-[

I saw 428 and briefly thought you had bought a sixties AC complete with 7 litre pushrod V8 lump. >:D

I know colour is subjective and everyone has preferences, but over the years, dark green, whether metallic, pearlescent or solid, has never been perceived to be the most popular in the secondhand car market. It does however seem to be more appreciated in the larger prestigious vehicle sector.
