That's cheap.  8)

If you zoom in on the left hand pulley on the back plate picture from the Dayco link, and examine the stamp it starts off with SKF.  Which would suggest to me that this kit is using SKF pulleys and tensioners?  :-\

All cam belt kits I have seen for the Omega have had SKF branded bearings.

Well hats off to fcc-pt for finding these, That's a massive saving over the Gates / Contitech that we've all been using - and to thinkI only bought mine literally the other week, after lots of research on here as where is best/cheapest etc!

OK so that would suggest that these kits are a good buy?  :-\

A quick google suggests that INA are OE suppliers to VAG.  ::)

I think so as you go by the engine code and number.  :)

So yours is Engine Code X30XE, Engine number 08296438.  The kit is for Engine Code X30XE and to Engine number 08300418.  ;)

Disclaimer:  I might well be talking cobblers and someone else will come along and confirm or dispute this!  ::)  ;D

INA is a very good brand (part of Schaeffler and also include the FAG brand), would not hesitate to use them but, there not that easy to source in the UK

A quick search on Amazon suggests otherwise.  This is for my 2.5.  :y

INA every time.....more of a known quantity.

And you can fit the kit to any of the engine types IF you retain the cast tensioner baking plate and transfer the new idler and tensioner to it.

Very recent addition to the UK market then, or of course being Amazon they could be coming from the continent
