Hot Start Problem - Starter Solenoid?
« on: 07 September 2008, 17:14:12 »

I have a 98 3.0 badged by Cadillac.  Running errands after a couple of starts in the high California heat, she wont even crank.  Turn the key and nothing.  Let it cool and it starts right up.  This used to be a solenoid problem before cars got so complicated.  If it is the solienoid, is the starter accessible or is this one of those things you just hock the first born and pay the garage to do.  I note the solenoid is $100 US.
