Head Unit ignition / constant power - how to swap?
« on: 10 November 2007, 20:47:32 »

I've replaced my previous sony unit with a Blaupunkt HU. Currently it 'forgets' the time and track place when I turn off the ignition - What wires do I need to swap over?

I'm using the autoleads adapter. The Sony unit had a 2 bullet connectors you could just swap over, simple idea but effective!

Anyhoo - Any help to stop my Blaupunkt forgetting? :)

Await an expert to confirm this .. but I believe on vauxhalls the permanent live is the wrong way round and 2 wires have to be swapped to enable the memory to be retained.

Give it a while and someone will tell you exactly which 2 wires it is .. :)
