Haven't been on a bus for years,but am using one now to go to addenbrookes (Cambridge)
because its easier than driving to Cambridge and being ripped off to park.

its got leather seats, leg room(iam 6ft) 240v power sockets and WiFi. And the cost for this door to door service  £6.00 return. Now even tunnie wouldn't moan at that. And if you get a pass its cheaper.
public transport come a long way since the 70's.
will use it again.
and yes it goes along the guided busway.

Sounds like Stagecoach Gold? A mate uses that and Oxford Tube, never has any complaints.

All the new buses,that use the busway have these facilities.
if i have to start coming to addenbrokes on a regular basis,will definitely use the bus again, sooo easy.

Always liked idea of Oxford Tube, those busses are big, comfy and have WiFi ect.

Problem is busses often go, where I don't want to go

And talking of public transport they are working towards opening up the old Varsity line Oxford to Cambridge but will not be interfering with guided busway which is on a former section of track.

the way public transport is going around here i would assume,they would try to make it a busway, so they don't need any extra investment for buses etc,only downside both the busways in England have gone waay over budget, "really"

Unless the Oxford Tube has changed everything about itself since '95-'96 I will never go anywhere near one of their buses, even on the road  think Ryan air maintenance standards...

Lol, only only 19 years ago then.

I doubt it...
The buses they were running then were new/nearly new, many with cooked brakes from hammering to London and back. I recall one bus coming out along the High Street, started braking as it crossed the Cherwell bridge, eventually stopping just after clipping a bicyclist or three on The Plain roundabout, driver wasn't to keen on waiting for Mr Plod to turn up
