But with the driver involvement pack. Connecting that engine to a 1980's slushbox is heresy. :o

Readily corrected when the engine is removed for the annual cambelt change :)

A mate has a Testarossa which gets driven about 5 miles per year. To my knowledge the oil cambelt and everything else is ancient becuase its done hardly any miles.
Ive tried explaining, but none so deaf as those who dont want to listen. ::)
-
Think that " barn find" is probably the worst looking model ever produced absolutely hideous.

It's like an even more unreliable and expensive XJS. In so many ways - rust, constant expenditure, poor parts availability, horrible to work on, pretty but shoddy interior etc, etc

I do have a real hankering for a Maranello V12
But a 456/612 rather than one of those.

I think the 550 is probably the pick of the V12s, although a Daytona convertible would be nice 8)
Owning a classic piece of Italian rolling art is probably best approached by draining the fluids and hanging it on the garage wall.
-
Yes, a 550 would be delightful, but a different order of magnitude of spend I dare say!

I'd plump for the 599 if I can't find a decent Daytona.

I recall seeing an extremely scruffy one of these pull into the local tip towing a trailer full of shite

You'd be needing a whole pack of brave pills to take that one on.
-
Not a barn-find because I know it's been there for 20years.,. It's got owl poo and mouse poo, so it's a proper barn find :D

A director where I used to work had a Daytona, awsome car, he also bought a convertable 400i niceish car but at the time was considered the most undesired and unreliable car they made and quite slow compaired to others.
He paid £25K for the Daytona and everyone said he was a jerk for paying so much. (who is laughing now)
It seems he sold the car a few years ago and is now the proud owner of a 2013 FERRARI F12BERLINETTA AB S-A :y
