Newbie Welcome Area / New Omega owner

Greetings to you all,
I've recently bought a very tidy Silver Omega CD 2.2 petrol saloon with 54,000miles and pretty much a full service history. I had a 2.5 CDX back in the 80's and remember them as a comfortable sofa to drive around in. My current one doesn't disappoint. I have a couple of jobs to do, one of the driveshaft gaiters requires replacement and the key fob doesn't open the drivers door although the key will open all four doors. Having had a quick look through the forum I assume this is a common problem?
Initally I bought the Omega as a gap filler between selling my Land Rover and waiting for the new car to arrive which to say is protracted to say the least. I was going to sell the Omega as soon as the new car arrived but have grown quite fond of her so will with for the right buyer to come along...
