I could be tempted by this tourer.

2500cc shared between just 3 cylinders suggests plenty of vibes, like a good British bike should have. :y

Similar here. Ridden R1,s Fireblades etc. and loved them. If I were to give in to temptation now it would probably be something like a 1200 Bandit.
Hard on the throttle out of 2nd or 3rd gear bends with the rear tyre squirming and begging for mercy cant be matched in a car.
Its the ultimate thrill imo.
I do sometimes think about all the near misses as Im dropping off to sleep at night, which helps dilute the temptation.
Stupid old fool, stick to four wheels, bones don't heal very well at your age  ;D

Most of my right knee seems to be trying to escape from my leg every time I  put weight on it.  ::) ;D
I really need to go and have a new one fitted, but its hassle, so Im putting it off.

Yes me too!  :y

Trouble is I'm as kanckered as Albs, so even if I managed to get my leg over it, my hips would lock into position once I got going and I wouldn't be able to put my foot down.  :(

Being able to put your foot down when you stop is an essential skill for a biker!  :D

Never fancied one tbh. Something that big and cumbersome, might as well have a car.

Bikes are under covers for at least six months of the year anyway. I can't imagine many things worse than ploughing forwards in sub zero temperatures with the rain lashing your body and wondering if your hands will be able to move if you need to stop  ;D

The riding gear has come a long long way since the early days. When I started riding motorbikes you wore just jeans, helmet, doc martins, gauntlets and a motorbike jacket if you were lucky. The crash helmets had no breathers in so they steamed up in foggy, frosty weather, so you lifted the visor to see where you were going. When you got to your destination you had frost on your knees and your eyebrows.
If I’d have been wearing modern gear when I had my accident I’m sure I’d have come out of it with less breakages. Going from 95mph to zero when your not still attached to the bike is quite painful when the adrenaline wears off.  ;D

I'm pretty sure that if I had any kind of bike, particularly a beast like that, I would be dead quite soon after  ::)

You'll either buy it or consider yourself a stupid git for ever considering it.
Or consider yourself a stupid git, but buy it anyway because you fancy it...

 ;D

I suppose I posted wondering if someone was going to tell me that a particular car would be a disaster to buy because the antikinetic retrodynamic declivity switch always failed resulting in total engine destruction and driver decapitation over 50mph.

I am prone to impetuous buys, I did have four Omegas  ::)

V6, not 4.

Not that it matters, because these things were always garage queens. Think of them as Japanese Alfas, but without the styling.

Bloody hell Nick give me some credit, I own a real Mitsubishi😂 the 1999 version of the Vr-4 is the rarest and most sought after model which of course has the usual V6 twin turbo but this one has 320 bhp.
