hi buying rear doors the weekend with electric rear as opposed to my manuals. i am presuming straight swap on doors and connecting extra switches and loom to centre console.
any known tips/problems or is it straight forward enough

my speedo/rev counter clocks have died including the digital part the stereo has gone to and although indicators work they do not flash when locking car...
any ideas if relay or fuse somewhere has gone or.....

hi have brought some led strips to supplement the indicators and brakes inside the rear light clusters, i know there is going to be lots of critism for adapting in this manner..my car i like it.
i need help in connecting the supply. the strips have know been fitted (a lot of aggro)and i have two wires + & - and only one wire on the loom for each bulb. i believe black and green for right indicator and black and yellow for brake lights. i have tried connected both wires together on the strips and connecting to correct colour but i was wrong..i imagine straight forward enough for those in the know.

hi looking to buy cdc2 blaukpunt cd changer from fellowoofer. can anyone tell me if this will fit onto my standard car400 in my gls. i would like to keep standard head so i can keep s/wheel controls, also took battery out earlier and cant find code for it so if anyone near to dudley knows how to or someone who can unlock it that would help. please bear in mind with feedback that i have a tight budget.

hi, simple enough i imagine. have got after market jvc head and know got sub enclosure in boot. i need to buy amp but on checking rear of head there is't any extra outputs just wiring into loom.i figureif i get cdr500 in car there isoutputs needed for amp. im sure this is simple but i never done this before any advise on fitting amp and sub and does cdr500 havewhat i need...help an amateur

brought of fleabay a pair of 24cm led strips for the headlight to gain that audi look. havent received them yet but the picture shows two wires at the end of strip. i have been told that if i get rid if sidebulbs and connect to sidelight wiring this is how you do it. also brought led stoplight bulbs same bayonet fitting cant foresee any probs but sure i haveheard somewhere about brake light sensors any advice suggestions or tips to help

hi,
it appears my alarm is not working.
if i lock car by fob or key ad then ope by key the alarm does not sound (been told it should). put key in ignition to position 2 and held unlock to reset...nothing?
the car stood for some time for repairs without battery but has worked fine since.full closure works. the interior light will not go out when locking car either so i took bulbs out for know. imagine something very simple but i am a novice so be kind.

i have had ablow coming from my exhaust for a while. replaced it from cat back and know still bklowig from front end. i have looked at manifold which seems ok to me, but im a novice at this!
it feels underpowered on hard acceleration/ hills/kickdown, makes a slight ticking noise until its warm and sounds like its knackered? anyone who knows there stuff localy i would loveto drive to you let you examine and put me in right direction before i spend anymore, obviously a drink would be allowanced for you, just havent got the money to keep throwing at her :-/

Hi silly question maybe. I'm buying rear doors the weekend that have electric Windows as opposed to my windups. Obviously I will take the switches and loom from centre console is there  anythingelse I need to remove from donor car or any tips many. Thanks

hi looking to get caravan in summer. would like to know what weight limit i have and any mods (sensible) to make car better towing vehicle. also i have noticed alot of pics here with migs pulling twin axles is this ok? i thought this was for 4x4s only oh and can someone give me some advice on wiring towbar up

looking to upgrade the brakes on a 99 v plate 4pot i think they are the same as v6 brakes??
i am looking next month (money allowing) to replace discs pads and fluid.
would i benefit fitting grooved and driled discs on a 4ot or not. and any tips or advice from the experienced.

Omega General Help / idle control valve

when i start engine on cold start, idle revs are erratic between 500-1500rpm. engine stalled on me twice yesterday once about 6-7 miles covered, bearing in mind its an auto!
I have also noticed a tapping noise, so i removed air filter to go about cleaning icv. Just for curiosity i started engine to see if noise was icv and without filter it sounds horrendous. have not done anything else wanted to find out from you oracles if the valve is knackered or just needs cleaning or if i am missing something obvious. please help.....

can anyone help,
 when trying to accelerate quickly or going up steep hills the engine sounds like its just sucking in a load of air.
took the plastic hose above butterfly and all seems clean there, have heard talk about sai pipe but don't know what thats all about?..any ideas welcome.

hi just joined, first message just to say hello and introduce.
 own a green 99 2.o gls auto, its only done 21k. was my father in laws got very minor tap to rear end & got wrote off. just got here back on road, i'm sure that the elites and 3.0s are superior cars but i have just passed my test so plenty for me for know. interested in common faults i should know and any mods to make her better car. so far better than canned beer.
