A lot of them now use online systems, so I don't see why not......as long as they thought they were getting the business, they should be happy to help.

General Discussion Area / Re: Decent photo printer
« on: 19 October 2017, 16:06:01 »
I have to say that I use my HP Officejet 7510 A3 wireless all in one constantly, and have found the quality of printing excellent.

I enjoy photography and I have printed untold numbers of photographs onto photographic paper at the best setting and got perfect results.

The convenience of having my own printer to hand, which I also use on wireless to print from my Ipad and phone, is such that I could not be arsed to use other means.

But, no doubt, some will say I am just old fashioned!! ::) ::) ;D ;D ;)

I'm with Lizzie. I've had that exact same model in the house for 2 - 3 years and its been no bother at all.
Starts up after not being used for a few weeks and it just works. No clear print heads etc etc.
We've even started using non HP branded refills and they work fine too so cost are kept down to.
Having said all that we have only ever printed normal 6x4 photos, and a lot of colour a4 work stuff.
Good luck with your search though.

How about something like this.....if it fits  :-\

https://www.amazon.co.uk/XtremeAuto%C2%AE-Stainless-Steel-Twin-WLW1-BW272/dp/B073FPG94R/ref=sr_1_35?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1507638107&sr=1-35

Humm. Looks nice but unclear on how it bolts on  :-\
If they're anything like the ones on SWMBO's Kuga then there is a single screw which clamps it onto the exhaust.

I have a similar one, and its been a godsend.
I've recently have to replace the intercooler, and before that a set of turbo pipes, and each time it has pointed me to the root of the problem. I'm not mechanically minded but it's nice for me to have a wee bit of warning as to whether the locals are ripping me off.
Mine was the best £15 spent for a long time and a free iPhone app, works wonders.

Yes, seems to be in the middle of bloody nowhere!

It’s very close to me, but as I know nothing about the turny noisey parts of the car, I wouldn't be able to give a very good assessment other than to say it looks as per the pictures.
I also wouldn't be able to help till Monday now either.
DG might be passing on his way back down the road at some point soon, and by the time he passes here again he will be fed up looking at sheep & hills.

General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?
« on: 07 August 2017, 16:12:58 »
Done 713.8 miles today. Still have 77 miles left.

Hypothetically that's a range of 790 miles :o

In reality, I have travelled from Arundel to John O'Groats on a single tank. Without trying.

That's 59.8 mpg at an average speed of 56 mph. Always at the posted limit or traffic, whichever slower, using cruise where possible and on every road type we have.

As appliances go, you can't argue :y

No Omegas on the way and only four police cars, three of which were in Scotland :-X

Did you enjoy the 100 odd mile section of the A9, with 60 mph average cameras c/w roadworks included just in case you get bored of the scenery, DG?

You'd have passed within about 100m of my office as you passed Inverness dude!!

Can you not swap front door speakers temporarily, to confirm which is at fault?

People achieve much more with much worse... Hiding behind her illness is an affront to anyone living* with a disability >:(

*By living I mean just that rather than wallowing in a cloud of benefit funded self pity.

Now before I speak, I am not giving my support to her or her party, but as a Type 1 sufferer, I can tell you that when high blood sugar levels (and moreso low blood sugars) hit, it can seriously affect thought processes and judgement.
My wife can spot it a mile away, long before I realise, whats going on.
What gets me is that, if that was the cause of her 'nonesense' then how nobody around her spotted her condition sooner.

General Car Chat / Re: Replacement Estate
« on: 24 March 2017, 13:08:11 »
Well after some weeks of researching, trying seats in the few petrol newish estate cars available, I am back to the Ford Mondeo as the only car with the boot space that fits the bill for me, and I realise this will cause gnashing of teeth among the Ford haters and badge snobs.
I'm going for the 2.0L ecoBoost estate, Titanium X with £3000 worth of extras in shadow black.

Off you go lads, rant away. ;D :y

Sounds like it's latest shape? I think the new shape Mondeo Estates are great looking cars, especially in TitanmX spec 8)

Is this the modern day replacement for 'Ghia'?

Ghia I think is dropped, used to be around fairly recently but even then it was not much above standard Spec. Titanium X Sport is now top spec.

Where it was Ghia/Ghia X back in the Granada days.

Fixed that for ya!

General Car Chat / Re: Mondeo valuation
« on: 13 February 2017, 13:54:14 »
I'm on my 3rd diesel Mondeo since getting rid of the barge, 2 MkIII's and currently a MkIV, of the same sort of age as the OP's asking, TXS spec so all the toys. Present one is now sitting at 105k miles, but I'm not getting too excited as its due a MOT next month, but its served me well.

All I have ever had go wrong are service type items.

Yes, MkIII's did have a tendency to let DMF's go, but I would that was generally due to folks not keeping the engine at sufficient revs for the speed they were doing. Injectors seemed like a throw of the dice, to see if you got good ones. Neither were ever a problem for me

Will I buy another one, no, but that's only cause I want them to make a real AWD ST version and stick a nice big engine in it.

The thing to remember is that all folks usually go on forums for is to find out cures to their cars faults!!  ;)
