Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Sat Nav help needed
« on: 25 July 2016, 07:37:02 »
Sounds to me like its not getting the correct signal, or strength of signal.
I'm no expert on the Omega SatNav setup, but I would say its the GPS arial, or something between that and the unit, that's at fault.
Good luck!

I haven't had an Omega for over 7 years, but Shhhhhhh......don't tell anyone here, as they might kick me off!   :-X

I just stick around for the banter!  ::)

And 'Wee Jimmy Crankie', up here is now gonna call a second Scottish Indy Ref!  :'(
I could have sworn the last one was a 'once in a lifetime' thingy!  ::)

I'm happy if todays vote goes as it appears to be......but nervous as well!  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Strange Radio Question

My SIL had a similar issue, on a Corsa, and I'm pretty sure it was something to do with Traffic news!  :o

I think she cured it by initially making sure she left a CD playing when powering down the car.

Don't think the car stayed in her possession for long after that.  :D

The Flying Scotsman was rebuilt here in Bury  :y :y :y I still missed it though  ???

I thought I'd seen it in bits in a workshop at the Railway Museum in York about 8 years ago.   ::) :-[
I must have been mistaken. :'(

The new RS is a beautiful beast  8)  (in my eyes anyway), but Ford have missed a trick by only making a manual version.   :-[

That alone counts it out for me.  ;)

I need to try a more modern one, as the ones fitted to 10yr old Mundanos and Focus' were bloody awful things to see through at night

You're welcome to come try mine, Boss!   :P
Fancy a road trip?   ;D

Welcome to the forum!   :y
Although I've not been a 'Barge' owner for a number of years, I keep sticking my head in this place as it's a good group of folks.  8)
I go past not far from your place on my way to work, on Monday & Friday!  ;)
I bet that by-pass is a godsend!  :y

These are a good entry level unit :

http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/samsung/ue48ju6000/sams-ue48ju6000

6 year warranty, Smart, UHD and a reasonable panle, sign up to the VIP club and you get an extra £10 off.

Fractionally more but a better panel:

The samsung TV's are pretty good for the money, and we have various versions of they're TV's around the house, 32" Smart via dongle upstairs, 43" smart in kitchen and 55" curved smart in the living room. The 32" model has been with us for around 6 - 7 years, and is still going strong.

I'd agree with Mark above!  :y  :y

Anything that you cut will need treated again!
Are you planning to stain / colour etc once finished?
If so then use whatever you plan to cover the cut ends!
