According to seller he paid £880 for the repairs to be carried out as he bought it back off insurance company.

Interesting to see what the insurance paid him ou then and why as soon as the repairs were do it din,t get a vic as surely spending that sum of money he either intended keeping it which doesnt ring right now it has no mot either,or he intended selling it on but surely he knew he would struggle with no legal proof of repairs or road worthyness

Worth £300 as an opening bid, but be lucky if it's actually worth what is being asked with MoT and tax :-\

Have asked as much...

I have a few questions for you...
1. When was the cambelt last changed?
2. Do you have any pictures of the car before the accident and also before the repair?
3. How long have you owned it?
4. Given the fact that it has no MoT/needs a VIC, and might not pass either test and has no tax, did you have a realistic price in mind?

Will probably get told to 'Go away nicely '  ::)

Swift reply if nowt else...

Hi,

The cambelt and Tensioner had been replaced twice 26-11-2006 at 43,557 miles 01-11-2010 at 73,297 miles.

The paintwork match is not even noticeable. I will email you the photo of the damage prior to repairs to the email you provided.

You would need to email me your email address via text so that I can send you the picture of the damage.

I bought the car in June 2012

The car needs to fetch minimum of 1125.00 which is my cost to have the car back on the road.

He does say in the Q&A bit that he is happy to refund if the car fails the VIC.
On that statement he shouldnt mind using an escrow service with condition he only gets paid if it passes the VIC  ;)

Its ebay. Virtually anything on there is best avoided.

Don't look like he will be selling it then, he obviously thinks it's worth 3k or so.

A touch ironic that his cost to get it back on the road doesn't actually include getting it back on the road ::)

Replied thanking him for his reply, but that it was too rich for such a gamble.

Got this reply...

Thanks for the interest, if the car don't sell I will get the VIC test sorted, put 6 months Tax and a years MOT. The car should then fetch me back 1550.00 hopefully.

Not sure it would fetch that. A non write off one would probably struggle to reach that?

Still, egay is full of idiots, buyers and sellers.

Has anyone noted this yet...?

Also note, I hate ebay. Strangely, I find its full of idiots. Wow, what a coincidence.

Maybe its the totally idiotic process and hoops they make everyone jump through. Very adept at filtering out all the normal people in the world.

Stop using it. It's shit!

Sorry, rant over.  :-[  ;D

Its a worry for me the oil cooler was replaced, points to poor coolant servicing. What else was neglected?  :-\

Anyone want to give me £1550 for my proper red 3.2?Less miles, new cambelt, water pump, full service, new wishbones.steering idler, drop links, complete new exhaust,NEW MOT, the list goes on and is much longer than the car in question.Answer..NO! so why consider something that's so problematic? as with everyones comments there is a common vein of advice and that's basically ..look but don't touch ::)  P.S my car is'nt for sale and never will be ;)
