Cars for Sale & wanted / She's gotta go! :(
« on: 06 June 2013, 20:56:26 »
I hate to say it but my on-off love affair with my Omega has come to an end.....
At the moment she is in bits with no TAX or MOT....
I really am not worried that she would fly through but there are a few jobs I need to do to get her back on her wheels.... So much for big plans!  :'(

I will update more soon but for now... Anyone who wants a look in... Let me know...
Also, any questions... Please ask away...
I will take any reasonable offer and yes, I am realistic! Anything over $1,000,000 mwah, ha, ha, haaaaaa!
No, really, any offer thats not taking the p***....  :'( :'( :'(

Omega General Help / Stainless exhaust options???
« on: 04 May 2013, 18:22:22 »
Hello...

Can anyone tell me what options I have for a stainless exhaust system?
I know about Jetex and then there are a long list of custom system....

I could build it myself but for the cost, I'd rather have it done....

Any pointers would be great....

Hi,
I got some cat's from the Bay last year and they do not fit!!! Grrr!!!
I did get them on but they are just c**p....

Anyway, if anyone has a pair sitting in their garage, drop me a line....

I would prefer ones that are known to fit well... And work ;-)

Cheers,

David.

Omega Gallery / Check this out!!!
« on: 18 April 2013, 18:49:29 »
Check this out! Two guys from work have entered this into some kind of rally treasure hunt thing and all the cars have to be based on a film, I bet you can't guess this one!
IMO, the boys chose well not only on the car or the film even but the colours are awesome!
They sprayed it in a barn and done a fairly good job!!!
Anyway, here she is....

I know it's a love hate car and not everybody's cup of tea but I think it looks great!
The car will be for sale at some point and if I had space!!!

Omega General Help / Ok, decision made! :-(
« on: 16 March 2013, 12:56:41 »
I don't want to do it but she's coming off the road!
Got to work this morning and water was running out the bottom!!!! The cars, not mine!  ;)
Anyway, I could just throw on a new pump but there is a list of things that I want to get done so she will be on my drive for a while.
Also, I don't have a garage so time AND the weather will have to cooperate too... ::)
I have a bunch of parts too but I just don't have the time....
So the list of jobs....
1, water pump! and thermostat
2, cam cover seals
3, breather system clean up
4, clean the engine (very oily and mucky)
5, new belts
6, 3.2 exhaust manifolds
7, remove EGR and SAI
8, AC condenser
9, front arms (maybe Pollyanna bushes?)
10, Steering idler arm
11, hand brake cable
12, Full service......

While I'm doing that lot, is there anything I should think about???

Omega General Help / Water loss and over heating...
« on: 15 March 2013, 16:04:17 »
Hi guys....

Why is it that things happen when you need it least??
While driving to work this morning, at about 10 miles of a 10 1/2 mile trip, the car made a howling/screeching sound that lasted just a few seconds and then died off.
While this happened, I glanced at the temp gauge and it was over 100!!! I then went over a roundabout and the temp dropped to under 80????

I parked up at work, popped the bonnet and the headset tank was empty!!!???
I cracked off the cap, lots of hissing and some water came back to the tank...

I've had a look round but I can't see any sign of a leak???
I have been told the the V6 head gaskets never go, Is this true?

Has anyone go any ideas???

Ok... A while ago, my headlights stared dancing up and down and got the message on the display...
Then it went away so I guessed it was all good.... My mistake! ::)
So now I need a sensor but I don't know if it's the front or rear???

Has anyone got one or both?
Or any advice???

Cheers,

David.

Hello mega fellows!  8)

I need a few bits for my FL saloon.

Firstly, I need the sub harnesses for the rear courtesy lights (both sides)
Second, I need the bracket that holds the auxiliary water pump on the cruse control box.

And that's all.... I think???

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Aerial lead MIA!.....
« on: 22 November 2012, 18:07:22 »
Hi,

I removed my head lining at the weekend and apart from about 8-10 meters of cable the police had left up there, I also found the cable to my roof aerial has been cut off!

The radio still works ok but I am now thinking if it has a rear screen aerial fitted???

Can anyone tell me how to tell??? I see on the Bay of E's that there are rear screen aerial amps so I must have that??? Where would it be fitted???

I have tried several code readers and nothing wants to communicate with my car....   :-\
This brings me to my next question, Any ideas why nothing will talk to my car???

Omega General Help / Fault codes.
« on: 12 November 2012, 19:17:50 »
Hello...

As well as a wobbly steering idler at the weekend, my EML went on for about 20 seconds and then back out.....
I did try to connect my Launch diagnostic kit but I'm getting a connection error so, I just did the paperclip test and this is what I get...
12, start of sequence???
19, Incorrect RPM Signal
39, O2 Sensor 1 Circuit Voltage High
73, Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low.
I did this without running the engine, I guess the only one to worry about is the 02 sensor???
Any thoughts?
