Just got a letter from this lot, apparently part of hpi, asking about the mileage of the car we just traded. Wanted to know what it was when we bought it and when we sold it.
A new thing, or have people been getting these for a while?
-
Could they be suggesting you clocked the frenchie before you sold it?

I was more interested in the matter that was raised the other day about annual mileage declared to the insurance company. No kidding them with a register in place, although for them to work out the mileage on a car you had for five years...... :-\
Dunno.......but I'm not filling the form out, the mileage is on the advert. ;D

I would just ignore it. Nosey bastards.

Send them a polite reply to the effect that as you never drove it, you have absolutely no idea...

It was addressed to wifey, of course.

Are they an official body, or just a company with a name that sounds official ?
Whoever they are, its easy to get the mileage from previous MOT,s which gives a good idea of what miles are likely to be on the clock now.

Correct........but if they were on the NMR...........

I thought reply two said Mrs STEMO had owned the car for 5 years, but I don't think I read it properly.
Anyway, they are a commercial organisation, so why would you want to supply them with info which is of value to them, for free ?
