I am running 235/45/17 PZero Rosso's on the front of my Mig and i have to say they are much better than the Conti 2's they replaced especially in clearing standing water on the motorway !!!!!!!! :y

VX say upto 1 liter of oil per 1000 miles is perfectly acceptable  :o

My 2.2 petrol with 100,000 miles on uses about 3/4 liter per 1000 so i just put up with it !!!!!!

The guy i bought my Miggy from spent over £300 having a cat back patten system put on and over 18 months later it is still noisey they do take some time to "carbon up" but mine runs on LPG so it may take a while longer yet !!!!!

Next time i will have a stainless system made  ;) ;)

Omega General Help / Re: Gearbox woes

Well a little update ......................Took the car to my good friend Ian at MPG vauxhall specialist in Middlewich to get the codes read and after some live diagnostics all it came back with was a dead CAM sensor !!!!!!

So pops down to my local dealer and £52 later new sensor in hand goes home  ;)

Pops it in and low and behold she is now running and more importantly changing gear better than she has ever done  :y

So all in all a very happy bunny indeed  :D :D

Omega General Help / Gearbox woes
« on: 28 August 2009, 18:28:18 »
Hiya folks hope you can help me i have a bit of bother with my gearbox  :'(

Car is a "52" mig saloon 2.2 petrol Auto with gas kit

Problem is a couple of times it has gone into limp mode for the gearbox no major issue switch off re-start everything fine

Now it has gone a stage further i.e. limp mode all the time if you use the stick to change manually it will pull of in first then when you knock stick into 2nd it will judder and thump into i think 3rd and it will stay there

I have changed the fluid and cleaned the filter both sumps off 7liters of fluid used

I have also diconnected the battery and left it for a couple of hours as this has cured it in the past but sadley not this time

So my thoughts are now is it a selector switch or solenoid problem or is the box totalled ?????

Also does anyone have any spare solenoids if it does prove to be the case ???

Also it brought up the EML light very briefly when it first happened but not since i have disconnected the battery and reconnected

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Chris  :y :y
