Dash bulbs - type and wattage?
« on: 24 September 2008, 08:31:07 »

There's a picture of one in Useful Info, there's a list of bulbs in Technical Info but the one piece of info I need is missing....

What's the dash bulb type and wattage?

I'd rather not take the dash apart to get one out to take to the motor factors....

They are the same as your side light bulbs but only 1.5w instead of 5w.
I assume your on about the ones that illuminate the speedo etc....??

Actually it's the bulbs that light the warning lamps. I need to add the towbar flasher bulb.

That's the one.

Now what's it called and what's the wattage - I don't want a sun tan from a warning bulb ;D

it wont work on a 2000+

the kit i bought which is above listed is a waste of time
the four bulbs for the speedo are fine, but the ones for the TID dont show it up that well during the day and are green. so i'm gonna change them for some red ones as i know they will work.

i imagine that the climate control can be converted. will take a look at it when i convert the TC, Alarm, Boot Release etc buttons.

The Omega dash is designed to be lit up with incadescent bulbs, not LEDs, so LEDs aren't suited.  In particular, the gay blue ultrabrights end up with all switches dazzling you, and those using lightguides barely working.
