Due to being a bit thirsty and not quite as quick I decided to check mine - full of gritty dirt and dead insects.

Any a good wash out and reoil and the car feels a bit better, but I do need some of the solvent for a proper clean!

I am assuming you have some sorts of sports filter e.g. K&N / Pipercross etc, and you are not suggesting to dip the paper element filter in solvent...?
