I know it's fun to overtake Tunnie in his 4 pot, but best done when not on tow.  ;D

Oh, hang on, you said rear towing eye? :-\

I got told off in my 4 pot for towing his dead V6 too fast  :o  ;D
Ah, but this time I had disconnected the propshaft ready for a decent tow...

So what needed to be towed?  :-\
Bullet.

Whats feked on it now?
Nothing  ???

Well, not that won't polish out.

Are those tow poles any good in reality???   ....

I'd say no. I have one that's exactly the same shape as that of Jamie's & that was a replacement of another that did the same. Maybe the none spring version might be better ......  :-\ :-\ :-\
I just wish I'd made my own when I had the chance to. I made one up for a lad where I used t work, 3 lengths of box section (2" & 11/2") that fitted inside itself with a similar hook to the Machine Mart poles. I'm sure I could've towed a bus with it.  ;D ;D

TB, that poles not nearly bent enough. Lend it to MDTM, he does a proper job on them.

I like the ones used by RAC, 8 foot long and seemingly solid steel.

Just don't fit in the boot without modification to pole/boot  :y :y :y

I was thinking along the lines of something heavier quality, seen them with a tow ball fitting to go onto the towbar of the towing car, and look to be made of box section..... :D :D

Apparently we are going to in for a very bad winter.... ::) ::)

Mine was damaged due to misuse. She drove over it, despite being attached to both cars. Don't ask. Just don't ask.

It had seen a reasonable amount of use, including several Omegas, which are close to its weight limit (don't think I've used it on anything heavier).

The damper does take out a lot of the inexperience of the driver being towed. *IF* they remember to turn the wheel ::)
