Sadly due to complete lack of time, I am offering my 2000 MV6 Estate for sale, hopefully for someone who can look after her.
Please bear with me and I'll tell you the whole story.
I bought this car from a member here - with a water leak. I traced the leak to the 2-4-6 head gasket. I replaced both the head gaskets, which cured the leak. The car ran fine for about 60 miles on it's first run - when unfortunately, something in the bottom end gave way - basically rendering the engine knackered.
I have since purchased another engine. Granted it's from an earlier Omega, but it's very uptogether indeed and has a reported 34k miles. I have no reason to disbelieve it.
To get it running, you would need to fit the new engine - and it would be best practice to use the original loom - although I'm not sure that's essential.
Also included is a manual 3.0 gearbox, along with the clutch and brake pedals needed for a manual. The car is currently an auto, but wouldn't take much converting.
The car also has a BRAND NEW Genuine GM Cat, on the offside - and a brand new cat-back eternalcar exhaust. Both have only done 60 miles!
It has the MV6 sporty interior, and silver-look surrounds, instead of the usual nasty wood.
She will also need an MOT, as it's expired while sat on the drive for a couple of months.
I don't have time to break or sell stuff individually, so
For the car, the replacement engine, and the Manual gearbox, I am after around about the £600 mark. You would need a trailer to tow her away. The replacement engine is located in a garage about 4/5 miles from the car. I have a crane to help you lift it into your vehicle if required.
The car is generally clean, SMALL dink on one of the rear doors, small rust patch on tailgate. No rust on the car itself. Headlining a bit dirty.
