Screen purchased and collected, now to find someone to fit it
Welcome to OOF
I've messaged the seller about collection so we'll see what happens. I also mentioned about watching out for scammers from ooop North trying to gazump the saleYeh i'm watching that one while I wait to see if Insurance will pay for the fitting.I wouldn't be waiting, the hens tooth might just disappear.
Was wondering if the windscreen fitters over the road from Serek would remove the remnants of the old one and fit this one....
Use liqui moly stuff for mine, the 10/40 one

There might be a spare not too far from you
Only question is how/why did it break...
There's one less than four foot away from it..... but its fitted in the silver car!
I meant an actual spares car rather than another of your spare cars

However the system on newer cars seem to set by default to 'activated' mode whenever the ignition has been off, which would do my tree in.
It's like being a pilot, I guess. Going through the cockpit drill before setting off - lane assist off, engine stop / start off, auto hold on.....
You can thank some selfish arseholes in Wolsburg for that!
Since the emissions scandal, the legislation was changed such that the car has to default to the modes used during approvals at every ignition cycle. That means driving modes, any ADAS functions, safety functions etc. Just wait until you get a 24MY car which badgers you every time there is a speed limit change or you go 1mph over the speed limit.....you quickly learn the to knock that one off at every ignition cycle
Yep, but you have no choice but to get on with it so may as well just shrug it off, pay the £75 excess and move onto the next task hoping it doesn't cost you any money!Well I was supposed to be taking the black car for a Cambelt at SOS but found the rear screen smashed this morningGreat Life can be very tedious sometimes.
