Washer bottle level indicator thing.....
« on: 03 July 2011, 21:42:03 »

Does this have a circuit board in it? (on the washer bottle) if so mine is broken, very broken..... ::) ::)

Now I know it has not been working since the snow, not a problem, just that I have to tap the end of the stalk to get rid, hardly a problem....

My question is, can I just join the two wires together and bypass the whole thing?

Have you tried physically pushing the float switch down inside the expansion tank a few times with your finger Mike? Also take off the metal wing clip holding the tank & slide the tank inwards an inch or so until it comes free of its track & check that the multiplug is still firmly attached! If after all this you still have the 'check' warning, the float switch is goosed & a new tank is in order ::) The plug can be short circuited using a paperclip  :y

Pop out the sensor, and clean it up (sometimes get gunked up with that white stuff).  Though if it was ice, its probably fubar, but easy enough to visually check.
