Clinton WILL win the election, so you can all stop speculating and get some sleep.

Airport operations. Proper company, with proper benefits, which is nice.

I've seen you up close with a spanner in yer hand, but the thought of you with a scalpel, aarrrrghh.

Good luck to you though Doc, I hope it works out well for you.

on this omega it changed itself. On my other ones I always had to tune it to Radio 2

Thats why I cant make out why it waited several days to correct itself, as I often have Radio 2 on.

I did wonder if it might be that, but if it did why did it wait until this morning ?

General Discussion Area / Omega clock mystery ?
« on: 03 November 2016, 23:50:58 »
Clocks went back an hour last week, but I kept forgetting could'nt be bothered to do the clock in my car.
Yesterday swimbo asked me when did I think it might be convenient, if it was'nt too much trouble, for me to put it right.
I said I would do it when we got back home dear, but as we were rather late getting back I never got around to it.
We gets in the car this morning and after a few minutes swimbo exclaimed,  Oh I see you've done the clock at last,  and when I looked the clock was telling the correct time !
I naturally took the credit for it but have spent the rest of the day wondering how the hell that could happen, as I definitely never touched it.

Well, at least the FA seems to have seen sense as they are going to 'defy' fifa.

My bloods still boiling though, after seeing who was responsible for fifas decision in the first place.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!

If I were one of the players I would just wear one anyway, what the Fick have Fifa to do with such things.

makes my blood boil this kind of thing, this is not a matter for discussion by football clerks, just wear a poppy and to hell with them.

Sign that petition in Rods2 post above.

AS above, is it possible to alter the length of delay?

Have looked in handbook but no mention of it.

Latest odds on Betfair,

Clinton 1/5

Trump  5/1.

Considering how close they are supposed to be in the polls those are somewhat surprising odds.

A total of £67,000,000 has been bet on them on Betfair, and they say money talks....(I've heard it say goodbye many times)

A very nice looking 2.2Dti  BX53 FYJ parked up in Brighton.

Perhaps OOF aught to sell leaflets that we could slip under peoples wipers, or hand out ?

Here is a new one for you,

I'm looking forward to some ingenious ideas as to how to remove it, without paying of course!

« on: 28 September 2016, 20:36:08 »

Any old bastards on here remember the old half crown? 2/6d
When I were a lad, legal tender consisted of: halfpenny,  a penny (1d), threepenny bit (3d) tanner (6d) silver shilling (1s or 12d) florin (2s) half a crown (2s 6d) 10 bob note (10s) and pound note.
My grandad gave me a jar of farthings (quarter of 1d) he'd saved up. I took them to the bank and got about a quid, I think. That's 240d (pennies in a £) X 4 = 920 coins.

There was also a crown(5s) and a five pound note the size of a womans handkerchief.

I have several of each them in my ditty box.

Happy days.   :) :)
