Maybe air in the system, or a broken or loose bracket somewhere allowing two pipes to knock together ?

Omega General Help / who the devil sells distilled water ?
« on: 10 April 2017, 20:58:13 »
Ok, Tesco,Halfords, boots, eurocarparts, cpa, homebase, asda etc etc all claim to sell it, but on closer scrutiny it turns out that what they actually sell is de-ionized water!

Has anyone bought any recently and if so where from as I am running out of options.

Thanks

Omega General Help / red coolant ?
« on: 10 April 2017, 15:34:42 »
I need to get some red coolant, Am I right in thinking that for a 2003 2.2 petrol omega I need the non OAT variety and is it alright to buy it from Halfords, or do I HAVE to go to Vauxhall for it ?

thanks

Just out of interest does that kind of 'free' insurance still qualify you for ncd later on ?

Omega General Help / whats this noise then fellas?
« on: 03 April 2017, 20:54:58 »
2003 2.2 petrol estate, drove it down road and heard a sort of hissing noise, rather like gas escaping and since the misses wasn't in the car at the time I assumed it was a new fault with the car.

It only happens when my foot is pressing the accelerator and the car is pulling, if foot is off pedal then sound disappears, also absent if at a standstill and engine is revved up.
The source of the noise is hard to gauge but seems to be over my left shoulder so points to something like hole in exhaust maybe, but when ticking over or revved up with car stationary there is no noticeable blow from exhaust.
If it is not the exhaust, or the missus what else could it be?

Anyoneremember tapping out free calls?

It worked but our nearest phone box was three miles away!

I remember it well Varche,  made many a call for nowt by tapping the receiver rest, but usually kept the call short for fear of being 'discovered' by the authorities.

Those were the days eh!
