I have front and rear dash cams and adding them to all the fleet over time
After a few scares over the last year, especially when driving around London, I have been seriously reconsidering fitting those. Nowadays I do not do the mileage I once did, but I have seen enough recently to think I should buy them.
.......
The police are even now frequently asking for cam footage of any incidents we may see, which for me aligned with Kent Police says it all
you can add dash cams cheaply and easily
this set I use clicky with 32GB card clicky so less than £25 and fitted in 10 minutes (rear camera I fitted bellow the high level brake light ,wire tucks into the trim all the way to the front)
those seller's delivered quickly, probably cheaper sellers or better kits if you spend more money ,but the kit in the link works ,good video quality, a decent screen size
Obviously, this is in addition to my bucket avoidance rear camera system
That looks great Dave for the price, and now I am really tempted to buy a couple! I note they are dual cameras, but take it you still have to have one fitted in the front window? What is the quality of the picture like? (EDIT sorry, just reread and release yo covered that!)
one set has all you need for front and rear recording at the same time
the main camera that you stick to your screen like a sat nav with a suction cup (mine is to the left of my rear view mirror ,out the way) then ,you plug in the power cord ,which will tuck in the trim down the A pillar, then run the wire to the rear cube camera ,tucking in the wiring to the plastic trim that runs round the headlining ,over to the high level brake light ,sticky pad the bracket to the plastic trim , insert memory card
pic quality is 1080 front camera and 720 rear (rear footage is flipped for some reason)
if you want to watch the footage etc, pop the card out, insert it into the SD adapter and windows 10 pc will show the footage
(front and rear footage are stored in different folders on the card )
if your pc/laptop does not have a slot for SD cards, you can get a usb adapter for 99p
