General Discussion Area / Drover
« on: 26 May 2010, 20:46:05 »
A Drover walks into a bar with a pet crocodile by his side.

He puts the crocodile up on the bar.
He turns to the astonished patrons.
'I'll make you a deal. I'll open this crocodile's mouth and place my manhood inside.

Then the croc will close his mouth for one minute.

'Then he'll open his mouth and I'll remove my unit unscathed.
In return for witnessing this spectacle, each of you will buy me a drink.'

The crowd murmured their approval.
The man stood up on the bar, dropped his trousers,
and placed his Johnson and related parts in the crocodile's open mouth.

The croc closed his mouth.....
The crowd gasped.
After a minute, the man grabbed a beer bottle and smacked the crocodile hard on the top of its head.

The croc opened his mouth
and the man removed his genitals unscathed as promised.

The crowd cheered, and the first of his free drinks were delivered.

The man stood up again and made another offer. 'I'll pay anyone $100 who's willing to give it a try.'

A hush fell over the crowd. After a while, a hand went up in the back of the bar.

A Blonde woman timidly spoke up..........
'I'll try it -
Just don't hit me so hard
with the beer bottle!'

Just been having a close look at my paintwork....its Nocturno Blue btw,
How thick is the top coat...I assume its base coat and then laquer. I have loads of very small chips (pinhead or smaller) and a few minute scratches on the paintwork, and although they only seem to be surface blemishes, they show white  :(
I have just had a go with T Cut but it does not take them out, so must be deeper than they look.
Does that 'Colour Magic' or is it 'Colour Fast' work.....the one that comes in colours !!!
Obviously I am not in the money market for resprays.

Hi all,
Appologies if this is covered elsewhere (could not find)

I have never bothered too much about what polish I used in the past on other cars, but looking at the pics some of you have posted, your cars shine  (as they say down here) like a 'shilling up a sweeps arse'  ;D

How do you get them so shiny!!!!! There does not seem to be any scratches on some of them (I know camera's can lie) but I am astounded how they gleam.
Please point me in the right direction, as I have seen some things that elimate scratches that cost £40 or so and I do not want to waste money.
My colour is metallic Nocturne Blue, and an Elite estate so a lot of bodywork to cover  ::)
One other point on same vein, I notice that dust on my Omega seems to cling like static ??? but I do not get the same on my Laguna...any ideas ??? :(

We used to have the pre-routemasters here, same as old London buses, but ours were green. I am talking back in the fifties.
I'll tell you what, we were fiercely proud of our buses which, in those days were called London Country. It used to be a thrill when I was a kid, to go to Uxbridge, where the red buses started and go on a red bus to London Airport as Heathrow was then known.

You are right in what was said earlier....
Have you noticed if you put the car in for MOT at a Tyre and Exhaust centre.....you will ALWAYS get the ole' crap about the exhaust and tyres on last legs!!!!
Years ago some thingy (showing off to his wife and kids), reversed my Senator of the ramp at speed, turned early and ripped the exhaust clean off from the manifold.  >:( >:( >:(
Then the bloke in charge at the time walked into the office and with his back to me said in a loud voice, 'Ah well, it was going to fail on the exhaust anyway. CRAP  >:(
I went ballistic as the car had had a pre MOT check. They finally admitted negligence and replaced the exhaust FOC.
Best bit was...the manager was not there, and all these little men appeared out of the woodwork with hacksaws, and you have never seen an exhaust cut into so many disposable pieces in such a short time.
I contacted Merit Tyre, and they did respond...'quote'..'It was a communication problem' ??????
Did offer me next exhaust half price, and other goodies. Told them to shove it where the sun don't shine !!!  >:(

Lets face it, its a con !!!!!
I could tell you the saga of my Renault Laguna Estate and the MOT man. Had an advisory list, which included exhaust rubbers perished, leaking at 1st joint etc etc. So I put the car in the same garage to do some other work, tyres I think, and said do the other stuff.
Funny how the rubbers did not need doing, no leak,  nor did something else. When asked why, he said all ok  :o So what pillock did my MOT.

Back on to Omega's....is the Low Beam/Fld vision a fail on MOT, cuz mine passed !!!! Also down to tread things on rear tyre !!!!

This is mythical and deep...  truly beautiful...

A man asked an American Indian what was his wife's name.

He replied, "She called Five Horses".

The man said, "That's an unusual name for your wife.

What does it mean?"

The Old Indian answered, "It old Indian Name. It mean . . .

. . . NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG,"

« on: 21 May 2010, 15:16:05 »
Can't answer exactly, but it COULD be something in an update from Microsoft. They do occasionally cause the computer to come up with weird things, but if comp is working ok I should not bother too much....or do a system restore back a few days. When the updates come in, the same thing should happen, if that is the cause.
The dreaded blue screen of death can cause a few things.

Talking about the griddle, mate. It had some black paint on it as does the flat side, although the flat side is still mainly black. I have wire brushed the griddle down to a bit rusty in places ( or pitted really) and wanted to do it black again. Bear in mind we are talking cast and not chrome griddle

Hi Fellas,
As we are sitting in temperatures of 24 degrees and expecting higher,
Mrs Terbert has pronounced activation of the barbeque. Not being one to argue ::) I took off the cover and lifted the lid to find what can only be described as..OMG :o
I am wire brushing the grille and flat friddle down (cast iron or very similar!) Can anyone tell me the name of a GOOD heatproof paint that will WORK, and not kill anyone who tastes my wares !! :D When new it was all a lovely black.
Thanks in advance
