General Discussion Area / Re: TV LICENCE RENEWAL
« on: 19 October 2018, 21:07:47 »
I'm not too happy with the Licencing Dept (the real one). As most of you know, we now reside in the Kingdom Of TB. I have changed my address online or verbally with all the utility companies, South Northants Council, etc, etc, etc. All free of charge. Oh no, not the TV licencing...they charged me £16 !!!!!!!!

« on: 19 October 2018, 20:53:28 »
Hi all just had an e-mail from what they claim is the tv licencing dept. they are reminding me that my licence is overdue . The fact is that the licence number quoted is totally wrong and the renewal date is incorrect by four months, they very kindly invited me to renew it online. ::) Yeah right I'm just looking for my debit card NOT  They even had the cheek to t.m. the licencing dept logo when the genuine licencing organisation don't  >:(

Halfords are offering free MOT with any purchase at store or online. Purchases must be made between 10th September - 14th October. MOT valid till 31st October 2019. Obviously they will try and get further work out of it but worth a try.

Hmm just ask them that if the car fails can you take it to your local garage for repairs and then return for a re test  ::)

You'd be suprised how many dogs of any breed are stolen to be used as bait dogs for fighting breeds  >:(

He would be a prime target for that kind of thing, to be fair, being a bull breed - and he's not fond of larger dogs, either, sadly (we keep him on a lead at all times). Couldn't care less if anything smaller than him is barking at him, right under his nose, kicking him in the face (as one little dog did ;D) but if it's his size or bigger he really, really wants to show it whose boss.

The rest of the time he manages to look remarkably cute ;D

(He looks small there, relatively, but he's 30Kg of meat..)

He looks very comfy and chilled there  :)

Our Mutt has HER name plus my mobile & our address .... she arrived with a chip.  :y

The dog's name being there is optional - when we got our tags they advised not to include his name as it makes it easier for someone to steal the dog and pass them off as their own..

..not that anyone is likely to steal Diesel, he's just a mutt ;D

Aw Aaron, he is loved, so he ain't JUST a mutt! :-*

Ron.

Smart meter free b*llocks we all pay for them in increased bills. I have an inbuilt smart meter it's called a brain, leave a room turn the light off, only put enough water in the kettle that you need, if the weather is warming up turn the heating down accordingly etc. etc etc.Not rocket science.  :y

Did a refurb on mine a while ago rub down with very fine wet and dry 2000 grit paint with plastic primer and finished with  silver wheel paint( cos I had some in the shed) looked good as new. However if you can obtain silver paint suitable for plastic i suspect that would be better  :y

Good job Kevin, them Hornets devastate our bees they can actually cut them in half, they raid the bees and take off with all their hard earned and young.

That's correct, the hornets bite them in half, however the bees have a defence against hornets once the enter the bees nest the bees raise the temperature within it by rapidly beating there wings the hornets cannot tolerate the rise in temperature which in some cases can actually kill them.
