Then i saw the sun in the window, and realised that picture couldn't possibly have been taken up here. ;)

Is that what they are :-?
haven't seen them on any other Omega's
The only other rims I like the look of are the black Team Dynamics from Halfrauds

Early GLS wheels do look nice - the GLS with no sun roof but with Air Con

That rust line will be where the muppet Police mob have run the stanley knife blade to cut the stickers.
-
is it ex-police?

is it ex-police?
Yeah!
If it was that then they did an awful job! Its not exactly a small mark either! (I didn't say that! :-X)

Cut it back with T-cut, sand the scratch back to bare metal and paint a few coats of touch-up on it thenlet it dry well for a week or so. Cut it back with 1200 wet and dry (wet) and then T-cut it and you wont be able to see it (best thing about white cars!)

My 2000 ex-police meega had a lost of scratches especially on the boot so i sprayed it and it looks clean as a whistle now
