Another newbie with a poorly omega
« on: 01 February 2007, 12:48:43 »

Hello everyone.

Had a Y reg 2.6V6 Auto for about 8 months now.  Love the car to bits, despite the fact that people insist on smashing into it whilst it's parked.

It's a little bit poorly at the moment.  It is locking into safe mode and the lights on the gear shift are flashing like a mobile disco.  Have checked the gearbox oil and topped it up.

If anybody can offer any advise a to what the hell is going on with it, I would be most grateful.

Thanks,
Ste.

Welcome to the site :)

My guess would be the selector switch mounted on side of gearbox needs cleaning/replacing, but ask in 'Omega Help' for more suggestions :)

Howdoo and welcome to the forum.    :y

You will get a better answer in the help sections plus, there are a few cars breaking in the relevant parts section - have a squint, there may be enough there to get your beastie working again without too much cost....
