sunroof
« on: 12 April 2021, 14:18:31 »

Hi all, my sunroof has a mind of its own lately.  When shut it opens on tilt and then closes again. I press and hold the switch in and it resets and then when released it opens on tilt sometimes. I can open it fully and close it, it seems that tilting I have the issues. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks  :)

Had the same problem on one of mine once, I'm certain in the handbook there is a piece on how to completely reset it ,that worked for me.

Could be 2 things.

Firstly, try the reset procedure - close, press and hold. Tilt, press and hold. Fully Open, press and hold. Close again, and press and hold.

If that doesn't cure it, the disc inside the switch needs cleaning (or replace the ECU with a known good)

Pull. Or use a trim tool to pry it out ;)

indeed, a sharp pull downwards.

To get to the disc, I cant remember if you need to remove the plastic cover.  If so, thats the 2 screws once courtesy lamp unit popped out.
