I have the Siemens 2013 with color display.
And where do you park your car overnight, and do you forget to arm the alarm  ;D
LOL. I think it'll be safe anyway, Mark is out the country.

I never ever forget to set the alarm. Either of them, that's the standard factory fit or the Clifford G5.  ;)

Am i able to display this info? I don't have buttons on my stalks, apart from cruise, the stereo/nav/computer is all controlled from the steering wheel buttons.  ::)

vxlscc are members of VBOA - the same as Mig and autobahnstormers et al ... I believe it was VBOA that fought the long battle for trade club entry ... the parts guy at my local dealer said that the mig a/c on the membership card didn't exist on their new computer system - so he puts it through on a local cabby a/c instead :)

Hopefully your local one would do the same  8-)
Yep, mine also said he would do that for me if my card wasn't available. Helluva nice chap.  :)

Yep, Trade Club is a scheme operated by Vx which entitles you to massive discounts on most serviceable items on all Vx vehicles including vans. Prices are far lower than 'normal trade' prices, which you should be getting anyway if your local parts guy is ok.  ;)

To join you need to be in the trade, usually Vx related and Vat registered. You can apply at your local Vx Trade Club counter, but your application is sent away to Vx for approval.

As pointed out though, you can get access to a card by either joining AutoBahnStormers or you could ask some of the nice folks on here to help out.

The first option will cost you money, the second won't.  ;)

I have TradeClub access, but after having a chat with my friendly Vx parts dude the other day, he assured me that i'd always get trade club even if i didn't have the card, he'd just use another 'local' account for me.

If only they were all this helpfull.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

rear quater, heavy scrape mark.
thanks for replies...  :)
Body filler?

You'll be able to pick up two doors dirt cheap without much of a problem if you could get away with just filling the quarter.  ::)

Ahh, missed bit about all electrics going. That wont be crank sensor (which would be stored as a fault code).

Earths, possibly a regulator problem?
Nearly lost something there.  ;)

thanks for the idea garage reckons they have checked the earth, also has beenplugged into a comp and ecu comes back no fault found, will the ecu pick up the crank sendor

jarb
Yes, the ECU would record a DTC for the crankshaft sensor, but not necessarily for an earth/wiring fault. Have all battery/earth connections been checked, and i mean properly?

A crankshaft sensor would not cause you to lose all electrical systems, it would only kill the engine. The ECU would register a fault with the sensor, store a DTC and shut the fuel and ignition systems off for protection, all other electrical systems would remain unaffected.

That rules out your CrankShaft sensor then. If that goes only the engine will fail, not the entire electrical system.

Does sound more like an earth fault that is causing the problem.  ::)

Crank sensor...
:-X
;D something to say our Kev ? Cat got your tongue ?  ;D

needs fault codes from facelift before we can really diagnose, i wasnt sure about electrice and crank sensor myself.....but i kow as much about electrics as my wife knows about budgeting.
Don't fancy losing any body parts Mark.  ;)

All i will say is, I agree with you, more accurate information will be required, starting with a list of stored DTC's, if there are any, before a correct diagnosis can be made.

You'll have noticed the 'I bet' is completely missing from this post.  ::)
