According to her constituents, she is a caring, and very able MP. Maybe she should just do what she is good at.
Let's face it, her physical appearance and her race cloud a lot of people's judgement before she opens her mouth. Then, when she does open it, things go downhill further.  ;D

People achieve much more with much worse... Hiding behind her illness is an affront to anyone living* with a disability >:(

Agreed. Suzanne Evans of UKIP was diagnosed with breast cancer just before the election. She was receiving treatment for it through the election campaign but carried on as normal and only let it be known after the election was done and dusted.
I'm not a big fan of the woman, but it was dignified behaviour.
Abbot wouldn't recognise dignified behaviour if she tripped over it. I have always viewed her as a vile specimen for many reasons.

Through out, her previous career at the height of pc within local government, she would regularly, play the race card when the going didn't favour her, or was going wrong the race card or her "tough upbringings" were used to weasal out, but now she cannot use these, she only has a poor medical problem to use.

Now before I speak, I am not giving my support to her or her party, but as a Type 1 sufferer, I can tell you that when high blood sugar levels (and moreso low blood sugars) hit, it can seriously affect thought processes and judgement.
My wife can spot it a mile away, long before I realise, whats going on.
What gets me is that, if that was the cause of her 'nonesense' then how nobody around her spotted her condition sooner.

Yes, whatever people think of Diane Abbott, it was very poor judgement on the part of the Labour party leadership, letting her carry on when she was clearly struggling.  ::)

I'm type 2 and cannot get a hypo with the tabs I'm on.....there a fairly new tab and apparently cost the NHS £34/28 tabs  :o

Using the excuse type 2 diabetes is a poor excuse imo, unless its badly managed or she doesn't bother taking her meds or eating correctly.

She certainly doesn't look like she eats correctly.  ::)
If her diabetes is the cause of her talking utter shite, then she must have had it for at least 30 years.  :D

Type 2 diabetes is, in the vast majority of cases, self-inflicted. Got no time for them. The powers that be should devote as much energy, finance, etc to type 1 IDD`s.

Ron.

Indeed! My mothers East London side of the family were all type 2 diabetics, but given they went through two World Wars, with food supplies always limited, especially with little money, they were never overweight.  They had no cars, so walked everywhere. No fast food either in those days. It would cost my grandfather his toes, then a leg, then his life. My mum escaped the trend of her parents and siblings, but jumped to me, which my doctors have said is not usual. So it is NOT always the fault of the person with type 2 diabetes, but a set of family circumstances.

Therefore why shouldn't the NHS spend money treating me and many others like me. I have never smoked, and don't drink alcohol, but I am relaxed about the NHS spending billions on those suffering from the effects of that life style. As indeed I accept that people involved in dangerous sports, or driving dangerously, or giving birth to more than 3 babies need NHS support.

So those that point fingers at other people and reckon the NHS shouldn't treat them for some peculiar and selfish reason should look in the mirror at themselves! >:( >:( >:(

None of this has anything to do with the arrogance, stupidity, and incompetence of Dianne ruddy Abbot.
