Yep, I had one and great fun it was too. For some reason playing with the purple potassium permanganate sticks in my memory.

I expect they cannot be found in shops these days due to "Elf & Safe T".  ;) ;D

Bloody hell Skruntie, that's brought back some memories. My bro had one just the same, i'd be about five at the time. Mum told him to keep it outa my way, she knew what i was like. It had Meths & the like :o

Looked at them, no where near as good.

Merit did the Chemistry Set 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc

All I remeber was that mine had lots to play with, and we found out whilst playing that a cork type test tube cork could leave a nice dent in chipboard  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) :-X

I agree.

Annother mate had an orange Chopper bike, allways wanted one of those as well, but I wasnt allowed any bikes when they were being sold. :-/
