Door is too rounded (2mins 12 secs) for a Herald .... bit rounded for a Spitty too  :-\

That's how it was, no fussing about with electrics........... :y :y

I think it is a Herald, going by the dash......... :y :-\

That's what I thought but then the flip-up front is curved like the spitfire.  :y :y

Yep, got to agree, it's an early spitfire, less curve than a later Spit, but more than a Herald, and with a wooden dash.......... :y :y

It is definitely a Mk II spitfire 1965 -1967 variety !! It's part of the BL stable (when they used to make a proper car). The grille is what gives it away, among other things  ::)

And I must say what a fantastic use of pictures, Thanks for sharing  :y

*and no I'm not 80*  :P

No, it was just the next number in the sequence. The TR5 didn't have a five cylinder engine!

Thank you for that link, it was great fun - and the music fitted so perfectly, too.
Easier than a V6?

Ron.

Nice video that, especially as he said it started out as reference pictures.  :y

I also believe it to be an early spitfire, judging by the separate bubble indicators.  :y

I agree with Nick.  ::)  The TR7 didn't have 7 cylinders either.  ;)

Although there may well have been 6 pot TR6's  :y

Maybe they should have called that one the TR5+1.   ;D

Ah, that crappy old three bearing crank and the inlet setup which let the hot exhaust manifold nicely heatsoak the inlet and carbs.

TRue - owned TR2, TR3, TR3A, TR4, TR4A and TR6 - TR5 only real TR I haven't owned - anything after the TR6 is not a proper TR IMO - monocoque and no real go (in the go stakes only excluding TR8 and Grinnals)
