Yes been down that route,Mark, but unfortunatley that provided by Land Registry online is no more than the actual boundary and general foot print.

No mention of responsibility on the plans provided so hence the ambiguity ,but my insurance are also stating today that if the wall is deemed to be joint ownership and not marked as responsibility on either sets of deeds they will not insure it either for either party.

Seen 2 body shops today for repairs and paintwork and have quotes of all damaged panels at 5K  :o :o or total respray at 7k :o :o :o

Is it worth spending that on an 18 year old car with sub 200k . :-X
Panel repairs will be a large chunk of that.

Just really want it back the way it was prior to the wall collapse .

It was abit rough around the edges and had the usual 18 year old car supermarket car park dents but was all the same colour and looked very presentable which is the way I wanted it especially with my type of work .Never saw the sense in buying new as gets a hard life on work duties .

Seen the guys work and good ,almost too good so maybe go a different route if I can think of one

It could be the case that they just don't want to do it.

Which is odd, because it's the sort of job you could give to an apprentice

Be worth getting in contact with AndyC and see what costs the paint shop he uses would charge... In fact if it's 2002/3 Z20R (The red fleck version) they could spray a wing and Irmscher bodykit for me at the same time!

If it's not their wall, then it isn't their problem.

That said they might have helped pick up the bricks :-X
Ah, now, to claim off them, you have to prove their negligence, else its an unforeseen accident, as in the case of my garage door landing on the car of the people living opposite, leaving a nice big dent.  Their insurance had to cough up, and the poor couple lost their no claims  :-[

Now if you have photos of neglect, and can prove beyond reasonable doubt that they knew it was an accident waiting to happen, you may get some traction....

If noone owns the wall, both parties could be considered negligent...

If someone else is paying. Yes!  :y

If your paying. No.  :'(

Unless money is no object and you love your 18 year old Omega like you've never loved anything or anyone before.   :)

That could come back to bite you if the deeds prove it was you who was negligent.

Hitched up the caravan up to it & took it back to storage after its service , SWMBO was very impressed with my reversing it back in line amongst the other vans in storage , the only reason I did it so quickly was the fact I was breaking my neck for a piss !

It appears that I have finally got the French contraption to be oil tight, so I thought I would do an easy little job on the Omega today.
Noticed a knocking sound going over bumps recently, so assumed ball joint.
Took the old one off and it seemed ok, but as I had a new Meyle one in stock I thought I may as well fit it.
Bloody thing took half the day to get back together. Getting the strut to line up to get the ball joint to pop back in, was a near impossibility, but I got there in the end.
Ive done them before with nowhere near as much trouble. Im getting too old. Hurting from head to toe now.  ::)
