Help engine change

Hi can anyone help i`ve just finished an engine change(1st one ever) every thing is back where its meant to
be a freshly charged battery but i have no power at all, i`ve checked every thing i can think of.
I have a cd estate but the other engine was from gls saloon does this make any differance????????

Earths? Blown fuses in positive distrubution box? Flat bettery ;)

You'll have to go round with a meter?

well...only ever done 1 engine swap and not on anything as sophisticated as an omega ( 1.4 rover) and i swapped over the ecu wthout even thinking.

Though thinking about it now it really shouldnt make a difference...so scrap that idea...when you say no power i guess its not even cranking ( no dash lights?) tried a jump start to firstly rule out the battery?

HI battery was fully charged over night, there`s no power what so ever to the car,

Is it on the right way round....are the 0V cables connected to the chassis (just below rear left of battery tray) and engine (between the power steering pump and aircon pump on V6)

Hi all sorted the car i took the engine out of had the battery the other way round so
it had a shorter earth lead and would reach, so i`ve changed the earth lead and now
its all ok, and its running :y

It feels good DIY
