Cant do a bloody thing. Ive assembled all the bitz to refurb the front suspension apart from the top mount bearings. Ordered them from ATP Germany nearly a fortnight ago, but no sign of them.
I emailed them on Tuesday. They apologised for the delay and said they would be dispatched within 48 hours !  ::)
So much for the fabled German efficiency.   ::)
They're fekkers for not updating with tracking numbers if you buy direct rather than ebay, but normally arrive within a week... normally dhl or dpd ;)

They emailed me this morning to inform me that they now have the parts packed and ready to go. They will email me again when DHL collect the package, at some indeterminate point in the future.
Two weeks and all they have done is stick an address label on ffs.
I emailed them back, told them they are appalling and useless and demanded an immediate refund, which I'm sure they will ignore.
Wont use them again as a matter of principle. Fackin Geymans. ::)

It'll be down to BREXIT.  :D

Started it for the 1st time in 6 weeks and it started first time as always!  :y

Took it for a run and went to the local jet wash to spruce the old girl up, unfortunately my Italian tune up blew one of the middle silencers, and I now have a noisy Omega!  :(

It's your own fault for driving it. It would have been fine if you'd just left it to rust in peace.  :D

Drove it to Morrissons. Because there are more reasons to shop at Morrisons.

Put this together for the other one, ooh, shiny:

Tried to do oil and cambelt on SWMBO's diseasel Galaxy. With the help of my 2 year old apprentice it took all morning to do oil & filter (& 4 nappy changes).

Sacked the apprentice at lunch time and moved on to the cambelt. Found that every bolt on the drivers side engine mount is a bstard bolt because the engine is too close to the chassis rail to get a socket on. Undid them all with a combination of ring spanners and cursing.

Reached an impasse trying to undo the bolts holding the crank pulley/damper. They shouldn't be very tight but in my attempts to shift them the engine began turning backwards  >:(  It started raining as well so I gave up and went indoors  :(
Round 2 of the battlebus cam belt replacement saga
Bought some Irwin bolt removers that bite into the outside of the head of a seized bolt.

It only took me two hours to get all the bastard bolts out and remove the cambelt  :y

Then I discovered that GSF had sold me the wrong cambelt kit  >:(

..and when you do, I hope you'll do them justice, like this:

Don't think that will work in a modern production car.....certainly doesn't in an omega facelift or Vectra (must try my Ford)
On the Vx's when you hit the brake, it cuts the throttle off....ie slight braking and hit the loud peddle at the same time and naff happens until you lift off the brake.....maybe cause they were DBW  :-\
