Hi to all OOF members, after a long time absent from this forum Hello.
Wanting to get back into Omega Ownership again!  So now hopefully looking for a Police Special, any condition considered and location. Would ideally like a covert car, but as I said anything considered. 

I’m looking for a stablemate for my XJ40?

Of the seven Omegas currently advertised on Ebay there are 2 hearse's, 2 undertakers limos, 2 Desmonds and a 2.0ltr. 

Not a 'proper' Omega in sight!

One of the hearses listed is a 3.0MV6, that must be special!  I have it on good authority that some hearses or limos have been known to be fitted with LSDs . 
My 3.2 MV6 could be for sale...for the right money.  Strictly speaking it is not a special (auto, no LSD but full Recaro sports trim), which were generally GLS trim work horses with MV6 engine and brakes, but it spent time on Greater Manchester Police fleet as a VIP car and was apparently mainly used by their (slightly controversial) Chief Constable at the time, hence low miles and relatively clean condition.  I also know that the infamous Thames Valley undercover pursuit car that featured in Road Wars is for sale too, which is manual, almost certainly has an LSD and is complete with all the gadgets, covert lights and sirens (for show use only of course ). PM me if your budget is over £6k.

I presume that the infamous undercover 'pursuit' car was 'the Bat Mobile'... Reg ending in LJL...in which case that had a replacement clutch somewhen around 2011/2012, (I no longer have the picture of the gearbox next to the car so can't be certain of the specific date), fitted by myself.

The rubber wheel arch extensions and headlight blanks were something of a turn off... When a nice Omega made a grand the skidpan cars struggled to hit £300

 I was lucky,, mine hadn't been given those extras, only mod it had was the cut and sensor wire, and being a met car was auto,, so not as wanted.

Not helped by all the ex Met silver 530d that were being dumped at 3 years old with destroyed dashboards... Those got more attention than a Nun in a brothel.

Got some good parts off the last Police ex skid pan white 3.2 Omega estate I found in a local breakers a few years ago, still supporting its rubber wheel arch extensions and its front corner impact which probably saw the vehicle off - all GM rear springs, self levelling rear shocks, genuine GM wishbones and complete front struts... all were coated in dried up oil soaked dirt, which had protected them, but underneath this they were as new with rust free metal and original GM labels. The shocks and wishbones are still on my car to this day....the struts and rear springs still 'in stock' for when needed. At the time, I didn't think to check the diff though....

Now back in Omega ownership, managed to purchase a 2001 3.2 ex plod saloon. Thanks for all the comments and advice.
