Omega General Help / Routine maintenance jobs
« on: 26 March 2013, 23:09:52 »
Hi I have been reading all the expertise on this lovely forum from all you guys  :y and was wondering if you could give me any info re routine maintenance for my recently purchased first ever Omega.  :-* I am loving this car and want to keep it going for as long as possible.  It was last serviced on 17.10.2012 at 90458 miles, it has now done 93500 miles, next service says should be on 16.10.2013, or 100457 miles, is there anything I should be doing before this?  :-\

Hi does anyone know if the mobile dent and scratch fixers are any good? Have small dent on rear side panel, not my fault! There when I purchased the car recently. It spoils the line of my Omega and was wanting to get it fixed without spending a fortune!  :-*

Omega General Help / Sensors
« on: 25 March 2013, 20:59:13 »
Hi anyone help with check saying coolant level and brakelight check? Brake light working okay and coolant level, okay. Could this be a faulty sensor? Car is Omega 2.2 petrol auto 2001. Thanks  :)
Taking car for a cambelt change tomorrow. Garage using cambelt kit, plus changing water pump for £285, is this an okay price? Should I ask them to check sensors? Is that possible?  :-*

Went to WIM on Friday, had full geometric set up, car worse! Pulling to the left more and steering wheel shuddering. Went back, they had a look and made another adjustment, then changed back wheels to front wheels, seems better. Not sure how long tyres will last though!  :-[

Thanks for the welcomes. Good to see another female member as well. Any idea what could be giving me the check control message 'coolant level' and 'brake light'. Coolant level looks okay and so do brakes lights. Could it be the sensor faulty?
