Title: No info on the display about CD, radio etc?
Post by: Stige on 18 April 2017, 20:55:24
I got something that looks like this in my Omega but I don't have any info on the display in the dash about the radio channels or CD being played or anything, any idea why? Is it even the correct player for the car?
The car itself seems to have 8 speakers total.

Worth checking all the bulbs in the MID are working, they easily work on just 1 or 2 and there should be 4  :y

The display itself is almost pixel perfect, like 1-2 dead pixels if that is what you mean? And I can see everything else just fine, consumption, temps etc but zero info about the radio anywhere.

Ign ON
Switch radio off by pressing volume knob (keep ignition on)
Press and hold 2 & 4 and turn on radio by pressing volume knob
After bleep, release 2 & 4
If display now works as expected, all good, if not, repeat up to another 2 times.

The 2&4 trick cycles radio through various display types - 8 digit, 10 digit and 8+2 digit.

Above is from memory, if somebody has exact procedure, please update :)

I could hear the beep every time but could never get the display to show anything, there are few wires behind the radio that are not connected anywhere, anyone got a wiring diagram for this thing so I can see what color is what?
