Just investigating a possibility for improving the ride whilst towing.
Is it possible to fit self levelling suspension to my CDX? If it is possible, what is involved, what parts would I need and how much should the parts cost from an OOF breaker??
Have chatted with Tony and booked my car in at Tyre and Tech in Lincoln on Monday afternoon to have the geometry set up. Its the first time they have done it through WIM so Mig is a guinea pig.
Can somebody point me in the direction of the company who recons ABS ECU units please Its not for mine, its for a mates Vectra 130 Can't see for looking but sure I have seen it somewhere
Had a problem with my Miggy recently. She has been a little down on power. If you drove it once you wouldn't notice, but I felt the lack of acceleration.
The exhaust has been blowing for a while, a small hole the size of a penny. I filled it with Gungum (crap stuff I know) but it blew it out next day. Still down on power.
Today I looked up the tail pipe and all I could see was a mass of wadding in the tail pipe. I pulled it all out and stuck my wet and dry vacuum up there and removed all the wadding.
It has made one heck of a difference. On a stretch of road I travel each day the car has gained 10mph.
It could be my imagination but I don't think so. Would a blocked rear silencer reduce power this much? :-?
I know its a long shot but has anyone had any experience of the wiring on a trailer pulled by an American car?
To quote:
The issue I am having is the turn signals / stop lights connection. The turn signal and brake wires don't go to separate pins as per all of the other diagrams I have found on this and "other" mitsu forums.
Completely lost here. Putting the brake and turn wire to the same pin causd the turn signals to come on when I brake so that is obviously not correct and just putting the turn signal wires works fine but I have no brake lights on the trailer.
I have found the individual turn signal and brake wires but American Standard trailer wiring has the brake and turn wires combined on one pin. Sort of...
On the trailer there isn't a separate brake and turn signal like on the truck. Really odd. Not sure what engineer thought that would be a good idea.
Basically, if you put on the brakes both lights, left and right, on the trailer will light up. If you keep the brake on and turn on the turn signal one will stay steady on and the other will blink.
