Title: 1SKY Reg.
Post by: Lizzie Zoom on 26 June 2021, 12:56:13
Strange as it may seem, 1SKY is the reg. for a straightforward Audi 2 litre in white.

Saw it driving around our town, after just seeing a brand new black full racing style Ferrari with twin double exhausts, and thought the, I would think, very expensive SKY plate should belong to the Ferrari.

It is a strange world. ;D ;D ;)

Used to work with a guy who had reg no. WCF 1 on a rusty dog of a Cortina estate. He'd inherited from his Dad, as they were his initials, and over the years had refused some substantial offers for it.

There's a standard looking VW Scirocco around our way with the reg plate 840 (it should be 84 O), which is a nice simple plate on a normal'ish car.

Yes, it is quite amazing how these, from my ignorant on plate prices point of view, possibly expensive plates end up on everyday cars.

I expect them to be on Rolls Royce's, Bentley's, Lamborghini's, or on the Ferrari that I recently saw.  At least they should be on top of the range Range Rover's that travel over some Lord's magnificent estate!   I saw a black Range Rover a few years back with a rather prestigious one numer, tweo letter plate that I cannot remember now, but thought it could belong to royalty!!.  ;D ;D ;D

I note that RR1 is predictably on a white Rolls Royce, that rather proves my theory! That plate was sold in 2018 for £500K ;D ;D  ;)

There was riding round Hull a few years ago
HRH 2

It was on a Rover Metro, then it was on a Rover 400 and last time I saw it years ago was on a mundane Hyundai SUV sort of vehicle. Elderly couple in the cars - so could have been
inherited and sold on now.

Might have sold it now as that would be worth a few ££.
