Fraid I agree with Bigron - I thought he was trying to be like Jonathan Ross but failing....
Don't think I'll bother watching again. Shame because some of his stuff is very good!

Not our experience of Greyhounds, our boy Jay, yes he does sleep a lot but he is certainly part of the family.
He is on the whole obedient (unless there are any squirrels or rabbits about!!), will walk happily off the lead without too many problems.
As a guard dog he is useless, he would terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired and turn over if someone broke in but as a companion he is wonderful and a proper gentleman. We would be lost without him!

I don't think it is a question of law here, but a question of company rules.
If a passenger is injured alighting from a bus at a bus stop the insurance will cover them because it is an authorised stopping point whereas a set of traffic lights is not and being as the driver opened the door to allow the passengers off then the driver could be in a very sticky situation.

We have been with EDF for the last three years and won each year, need to renew in September so may well stay with EDF again, they seem the best at the moment!

« on: 22 January 2014, 07:07:13 »
I think both bikers were at fault.
Both bikes were travelling too fast because if they were in the speed limit the Plod wouldn't have acted.
The first bike should have pulled into the side to allow following traffic to pass, this would have allowed the second bike to pass.
As a plus, as all ready mentioned the second bike was travelling far to fast and didn't allow a safe gap, as mentioned he probably panicked when he saw the Police.....

I was in Wales  once when these sort of planes flew through the valley.
It was strange to look down on them, all be it only for a couple of seconds and they were gone.
You could hear the engines echoing round the valley then whoosh and they were gone. If they were attacking I wouldn't have stood a chance lol....

General Discussion Area / Re: Biscuit arrangement.
« on: 19 January 2014, 19:45:26 »
I'm pleased to report that the ancient Nottinghamshire craft of biscuit arrangement is alive and well at Mrs DTM's house.
Choccy digestives too. :y
Had you upset her by any chance TuBy?

I reckon Mrs DTM is suffering from guilt about letting her biscuit arrangement slip, and has started a new years resolution to do better, which you have clearly benefitted from.

I'm really looking forward to next seeing Mrs DTM. Will it:
a) hurt
b) have a good biscuit presentation

;D

I go for answer a ;D ;D

I have heard that in an emergency you can use the cardboard center to remove "clingons" enough to get you to the supply cupboard and back without to much "squelching" around  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm sure Esta will bring further helpful hints and tips when he wakes up  ::) ;)

Aah, technical advice from Esta. There's a thing to behold. :y ;D
