Seat sorted and 40p better off :y

Not many times does a repair leave you in profit !!

 ;D

Found 500 quid once just by changing the courtesy light bulb in my old BM  :), was tempted to send the money back to the previous owner but passed too many Pubs on the way to Post Box.  :D

sounds like a drug dealers car

did you find anything else by any chance ;D

Nick, please delete that

its silly to publish how to bypass your immobiliser on an enthusiast site.

say you will share by pm to people you know, but not a good idea to spread to the world  :y

done :y

iirc, yours is early one?  Is it IR locking? If so, its bypassable.

If its RF locking, there is no easy bypass...

any info on how to bypass it :-/ :-/ :-/

mine is 1994 on the m plate
i need to press the button to turn the imobiliser off

i think it is the ir locking type
you need to get right up close to the car to get it to unlock

if you know how to bypass the imobiliser that will be a great help :y

just wondering if there is a way of turning the imobiliser off completly

ive been looking at another alarm system that has got a imobiliser built in plus but it won't work as it needs to be able to bypass the original imobilser

i can get a kit that only works with the type that you don't need to press the key fob to deactivate the imobiliser

so i need to find a way to deactivate the imobiliser

thanks :y

Can you confirm both switches click?

I'll give the cruise control a try at a higher speed.

Cheers

the cruise control should work over 19mph if i remember right

i'm pretty sure both buttons click
i can't try mine as mine is still in the garage after the accident
ill get it back on monday, but i am pretty sure they both click

something to try
take out both switchs for front and rear fogs if the connectors are the same swop them over and try that

only need a small screw driver behind the switch to pop them out :y

let me know how you get on

12
fog light switchs - yes they do click, if you have to hold your finger on the switch to make it stay on then the switch is at fault

cruise control - no lights or beeps, best thing to do is get on the motorway or dual carriage way hit 60mph and hit the cruise control button it should keep it at that speed if you come to a hill you should feel the car pick up to keep the speed the same

hope that helps you out :y

if the gps airel breaks down no error codes will come up

go into the main settings on the internal settings i think it is and you can check the status of the airel there

Different system Nick, this is the Siemens unit not the Phillips Carin.  :y

ok no probs :y

all the original scotch locks from the old trailer electrics are still there
the wires was cut from the trailer wire then tapped up so they don't short out

ill remove the old scotch locks and tidy the wires up and then solder the new trailer wires in place :y
