Removed the air compressor gubbins from the Alabama Mumsybus and retro fitted the heated washer bottle.

Not plumbed it in, but it's ready for a coolant change when I get the bits together for the 120,000 service.

Moved it inside out of the rain.  Is this hurricane Ian or just the weather?

Made a bench to put the engine bits on when the heads are stripped from some old worktop, pulled the engine and box out the Austin, removed gearbox and clutch and then got stuck removing flywheel bolts. Only have a 3/8th drive E14, will see if D has a1/2ins one tomorrow then it can go on the engine stand.

Picked up the wheels from the refurber for the BBP, and dropped off the spare set for the same treatment

Given the Range Rover a good check over as we're off down to Sussex for a few days with the tin tent.

Stripped the Omega engine down, 3 bent intake valves. Strange that one cyl has just one bent valve! but I will change both, need to leak check the other head as no obvious bent valves but they do have kiss marks. Worst bit is the oil cooler has leaked while its been stood 20 years, now where do I get a new one?

Or depending on intended use, do without it.
Ive often wondered just how necessary it is tbh. I cant see it doing much cooling when its sat in boiling hot coolant anyway.
If it was needed to keep oil temps down why not have it located where it would be blasted by cool air all the time ?

I maybe talking shite. Its not unknown. :)
