Coming back from Gixer's, off the lane and onto the main road, tried to apply *any* power just lit up an amber flashy light on the dash.

Bloody useless ditch finders. Landsail I think.
Get them hot and drive over some coarse sand to add some bite to them.

That said, turn off the nanny and give it some beans. Then buy some actual tyres.  :D
These are full on black and round. Tunnie would love them.  I think they would be impossible to wear out due to zero friction...

I'd argue in a puddle, the other set of wheels in the garage with 1,5mm tread have way more grip.

When I'm at home for long enough to sort it, I'll get it booked in, I can't be dealing with budget tyres

When you’ve finished with that car, how about looking for the Holy Grail for your next project, it  would be easier for you👍

As of last week, nice new tyres on the back of the Big Black Pussy.

Also less of the 'orrid sticky stuff on the dash buttons.  Why, in this day and age, do JLR still use that crap?

It's been obvious for a while that one of you was going to finish the other off. And if you let a French car do that to you, then you deserve it ::)

Cant argue with that.  ;D
Fitted a new camshaft and genuine Renault cam seal last week but it was blowing oil past the seal within a minute of starting the engine.
Im reasonably sure its stuck rings or similar causing excessive crankcase pressure.
So it will be vising the weighbridge in the near future.
Then hunt for something non French to replace it.

Nope decision is made. Lifes too short to keep farting around with a pile of French plastic.  ;)
Sourcing the replacement is the next problem.  ::)

Well done  :)
I'm quite stubborn when it comes to fixing things and don't like to give up till the problem is resolved
BUT....
sometimes you just need to STOP and find something else to fix instead  :D

I’m so glad you’ve seen the light….. however before it goes try drilling into the top of the camcover and fitting a 10mm breather just tap and screw..     nothing ventured nothing gained 👍

Would need to fit another new cam seal first though. Probably wont bother tbh. ;)
