Anyone know how far it is to go around the ford? Other than to stop the halfwits that try to drive though at speed why did they need to block it off? If you have a vehicle  that's capable of driving through the ford when it's at normal water levels why not let them  :-\

It can be a fair trek, the farmers are not happy as they often travel from fields one side to farms on the other, then its a big detour plus single track lanes

It did look like he was paddling out at one point, interesting when the 4x4 kicked in at just past 30 seconds

I wonder if the locals were asked if they wanted it closed then.

I'm sure a couple of concrete blocks could easily be moved  ....  ::)

Which is exactly what the tractor has done  ;D

Its not unknown for the Police to be there handing out tickets prior to the blocks being put in place

They have no business driving with an IQ that low, what in the world did they expect to happen, even the vehicles meant for those conditions are taking a chance.

Note how the chap in the L200 took it nice and slow. He obviously appreciated the fact that his air intake was on the bonnet :y

If the bin wagon had rolled through rather than hit it like a train he'd have easily made it without issue.

Indeed keeping the wave low in front is the key if you dare to try it. As you say the bin man should have got though easily if driven with some common sense.

Fitted the replacement front SAM having finally retrieved it from the clutches of HMRC.

Heated steering wheel switch now works and the night vision is a.step closer to working. Basically it needs to be switched on in the Central Gateway and possibly the a couple of linked modules... :-\Distronic is going to require further head scratching though as the other module I acquired, whilst plug and play got all pissy about suddenly being in a right hand drive car ;D which threw up a few SRS codes >:(

The stupid thing is that Mercedes wire LHD and RHD cars as mirror images, so the car shouldn't car less as driver's side is always driver's side etc and not left/right ::)
