hello every one
i want to change my car with this one what you think??

they want my 2.0 l 1999 for £600
what omega soprt got? are they good for taxi ?

first off the 2.2 is not sporty in anyway.
Basically its MV6 spec, but with a 4 pot engine.
Sports seats, silver dash, HID's and a 2006 headunit with changer.
Sporty style 17" alloys, the car is lower at the back with a lip spoiler, and has a stiffer suspension setup.
Not ideal taxi material really!

i know 2.2 cant be sport car but they say omega sport :o lol
way is not good for taxi?
i couldn't find any other car better with this age and condition
for £1900+my car for £600

I meant the Sport model as a taxi!
CDX/Elite would do fine.

Just can't see the point in a 'sport' model being a taxi, would have thought a CD/CDX would be better, softer ride, tyres fair bit cheaper.

I find the MV6 / Sport comfier, others too soft imho
would rather drive one of those all day myself!
seen very little price difference between 16 and 17" tyres

For charging down twisty A roads, yup, Sport/MV6 all the way.
But if i was in the car all day long, driving through pot hole ridden towns, i would prefer a softer ride.
But thats just me. :y

Yep I agree with Tunnie.
2.2 Sport is poor mans (or thinking mans???) MV6, all the show with no go.
If you dont want go, get a TD and if I wanted an Omega to use as a taxi it would be the Elite, softer ride etc etc......
Dont like the wheels on them later Mv6/sports either!!!

thank u for ur reply .the only reason i went for this was
65,000 miles and 5 Vauxhall Service Stamps Last Stamp @ 62,046
and they take my car for £600.... i saw 2.2 cdx with 110.000
no vx history £2300 ... i perfer the silly soprt badge over 50,000 mile

Sounds like a good car with plenty of life left in it. As said, LPG might be worth a thought. I also think that, for a car that's going to be driven loaded with passengers and, sometimes, luggage, a slightly firmer setup would be an advantage.
It might be firmer than other Omegas but will still beat the average FWD eurobox tractor hands down for comfort. Punters don't seem to object to them.

Back on subject f13 - That sounds like a good deal, with very good trade in price. Cause your a taxi i would seriously consider LPG, costs about £600 to DIY the 4 pots.
Depends if you need the back seats down to carry large loads of not.

My daily drive is the auto
hers is the manual
general 'not trying' driving, the auto outperforms the manual, except on economy.
Now whack the auto in 2nd and keep it there in the lanes, wayhay, fun time!

when they say vax history that mean they changed the
cambelt at 40m and auto fuild change done by vax?

Discovered Migs many years ago as a cabbie when granadas got too old to plate. Given the low miles of the "sport" i'd go for it.
Regarding the auto/manual issue i'm a proper gearbox bloke through & through but with all the stop start town driving in a cab i'd have a slush box every time. :y
