« on: 27 October 2021, 23:03:13 »

the right honourable Rishi Sunak has had planning permission for work to be done on a stately home near Northallerton that he has purchased .
the sum he actually paid for the property i believe hasn,t been disclosed but the cost of the refurbishment is estimated to be £1.5 million .
but an interior swimming pool is included in the price

Good for him!   :)

That's £1.5 mill pumped back into the economy and paying peoples wages rather than hiding in the Cayman Islands!  :y

That's probably not a lot of cash to him, from what I've read he's married into a very wealthy family so banking on a large inheritance sometime in the future.

He is a crafty tinker though. Giving away £bilions like confetti, which our great great grandchildren will have to pay back.
All because he wants Boris,s job.

That is for him to do as any other individual can do if it is their, or family, money honestly earn't.

As Sir Tigger says, it is money being pumped back into the economy which is the right thing to do when one can, and he can! :D

That reminds me of Dennis Healey.......did he actually say that he'd tax the rich till the pips squeak?

Because Jimmy Cagney never said " you dirty rat, you" :)

Listening to Talk Radio as I type this........

A number of people mentioning 'The Reform party' in preference to the Tory party, when asked who they will vote for at the next election.

I will be voting for Reform UK if they field a candidate in my constituency. Otherwise, an independent who is closest to my viewpoint.
Wont ever vote for the big parties again. Although its a very long time since I did*.
