windscreen demisting issue - advice please
« on: 14 November 2020, 08:08:12 »

There seems to be an issue on my CDX climate control . When trying to keep the screen demisted in these damp and wet conditions , the passenger side seems to work very well. But the drivers side seems very down on "blowing power".  Could it be a pipe has been disloged or not fully located or thinking it may be an issue or fault with the climate control panel itself.
Aircon does not work,  but if that was the issue why is the passenger side  good ?

Betting that any reply will say getting to the pipes/ducts in the dash is gonna be a **** of a job  ::) ::)

Any advice would be great  . . .Thanks Guys    :y :y

Heat is the same both sides .  Tested the "blow" force with just screen on  it seems the same  . .
strange  . . .  what is occuring is the drivers side seems to mist up inside , but passenger side and all other windows are clear  :-\ :-\

Pull the drivers carpet. And check for damp/water... Bear in mind that the insulation under it can hold a couple of litres before you feel it on the carpet...

Checked under the carpets as a first port of call . . . all good .

Using no coolant, so unlikely to be a matrix HBV issue

Possibly just a damp issue from not much use  . . .car sits outside from Mon -Fri.

Just thought it was strange its only the drivers side of screen that is misting . Probably needs a bit of use and may be it will clear better . Might take it for an "Essential Travel " run tomorrow ::)
